Diego Molina (Lima, 1980) studied painting at the Fine Arts School of the Universidad Católica del Perú. He has received prizes in various contests, including, the XI Painting National Contest of ICPNA and the Something Special's International Contest of Art 2004. He also has participated in several theatre projects as scenographer and director. His proposal explores action and the self constitution of time. Performative arts and painting are used as amplifying devices for probing experience. "Lunes," "Martes," "Miercoles," "Jueves," and "Viernes" are part of a seven painting series, a video-sculpture and installation, all exhibited at Lucia De la Puente Gallery (Lima, Peru, August 2008). The pictures portrait people enact an extraordinary life in a especially crafted scenario. Video and photo are then transliterated into painting.
