Ivan Lopez was born in Bogotá Colombia. Since the age of three he has resided in San Francisco He attended Leadership High school and at the age of 17 he participated in a Talking back a collection of student essay that were publish in a book presented by 826 Valencia writing center.  Growing up you could frequently find Ivan in the Mission district where his artistic passion was fostered by community organization such as Southern Exposure, SFMOMA teen visionary and Mission Cultural Center. His artistic spark landed him at Pratt Institute where he received his BA in industrial design.  After graduating he freelanced as an interior designer while working with the Southern Exposure team to run a print shop at Downtown High School. He recently open Artillery Apparel Gallery in the heart of the Mission district where he makes hand-painted apparel and features up-and-coming local fashion designers as well as some of San Francisco´s finest visual artists.
