Submission Guidelines
We welcome daring and insightful submissions of poetry, fiction, nonfiction, art and literary criticism, and visual art. We consider work until Nov. 1 for our Winter online issue and March 1 for our Summer print issue.
Only materials sent with a SASE and the proper corresponding postage will be returned.
Eleven Eleven is an biannual publication; please allow up to six months for a response. We do accept simultaneous submissions, provided you notify us of this in your cover letter.
Guidelines for Writers
- Please limit your submissions to 7,000 words. Prose writers may submit more than one work.
- Poets should fulfill this requirement by limiting your submissions to five poems or five pages of hard copy.
- Each page of your submission should include your name.
- Please include complete contact information in your cover letter.
- Feel free to include a brief synopsis of your writing practice or creative process information regarding the submitted work(s).
Guidelines for Artists
- Email art submissions only to elevenelevenjournal (at) gmail.com. Please limit your submissions to 10 jpegs.
- For our summer print issue, we're primarily interested in black and white drawings, graphics and photography; for our winter online issue we're interested in work that would reproduce well in a web environment. Please query before submitting multimedia.
- For each piece, please indicate the following: title, date, materials, dimensions, and image credit.
- Please also submit a brief artist's statement and complete contact information.
- If you have representation, please include complete contact information for the gallery.
